Many Days to Come

B-24Ds of the 389th BG above Germany in late summer 1943 engaged by Bf109s of the JG1, with many more days to come with battles in European skies. "The Little Gramper" flew the 1st Aug 43 Ploesti oil refinery raid (which is displayed by the horizontal bomb sign) returning safely to Libya. Afterwards they returned to England conducting bombing mission above Germany.
