Hot Stuff

The B-24 Liberator 'Hot Stuff' became the first heavy bomber in the 8th Air Force to complete twenty-five missions in Europe, three-and-a-half months before the Memphis Belle. After Hot Stuff completed thirty-one missions, it was selected to return to the United States on May 3, 1943, to tour the country. On its flight back it crashed into a mountain on Iceland in bad weather, killing 14 onboard, indluding Lt. Gen. Frank M. Andrews then Commander of the European Theater of Operations. Gen. Eisenhower was assigned Supreme Allied Commander later instead.

Model by Gareth Hector. Markings by me. Hope you like it :)
