Battling Eagles

This scene depicts an head-on attack by Messerschmitt Bf 109s of Jagdgeschwader 300 'Wilde Sau' in late 1944. The pilot was Oberfähnrich Bruno Klostermann in his 'Green 12' of 11./JG 300. He was a cousin of the famous French ace Pierre Clostermann. On 14 January 1945 Bruno Klostermann was shot down and killed when intercepting a formation of B-17 Flying Fortresses. He was 19 and scored three kills.
