Wewak Bees-nest (Private Commission)

This was a private commission. The customers father-in-law was the pilot Charlie Cook of the B-24D "Cookie" in New Guinea. The scene depicts a specific mission over Wewak on January 20, 1943. There were multiple Zero's attacking Charlie and his wingman and he lost one engine. His wingman ditched and was lost on this mission. B-24D by Gareth Hector. Hope you like it!
