Dunkirk

On 23 May 1940 92 Squadron flew their first combat sortie over Dunkirk, with mixed results for the depicted Spitfires.
While Robert Stanford Tuck in GR-P shot down three German aircraft that day, Squadron Leader Roger Bushell (GR-Z) and Flying Officer John Gillies (GR-U) were both shot down and taken prisoner. Bushell later became the mastermind of the Great Escape. His wingman Sgt Klipsch (GR-H) was shot down too but killed in action on this sortie.
